The bearing solution is working with currents induced by the rotating of a shaft in a permanent magnetic field.
When the shaft is in its center position there are no induced currents present.
When applying a force to the shaft (larger black arrows) the shaft is off-centered. Once off centered - currents start to flow in the construction (red arrows).
On one side this will result in a pushing force (small black arrow where the air gap is smaller). On the other side - where the air gap is larger - a pulling force (small black arrow pulling the bearing towards its center position) will help reposition the shaft.
